Old el Paso
Old El Paso was founded in 1938, but our story goes back to the time when the Spaniards and Indians met. Then the food of the Indians was influenced by Spanish, and it led to the food culture that is called Mexican.
A lot has happened in five hundred years, of course, but there’s a piece of history behind all of the Old El Paso products. All of them are based on original Mexican recipes, and they always taste Mexican – wherever you eat them.
Today’s Old El Paso dates back to 1917, when the company began its work in a small village in El Paso, New Mexico. In 1938, the trademark Old El Paso was registered, and we arrived in the Nordic countries in the early 1980s. All manufacturing in Europe takes place at a factory in San Adrian, Spain.
